There a millions of resources for great, inexpensive artwork. The above piece was bought at an auction. We did not even reframe it because we love the antique character. Check Craigslist or your paper for local auctions.
Here are a couple more options for your walls.

Band posters make excellent art. There are so many awesome choices and styles. Gig Posters is one great resource, they list prints alphabetically by band. Many of our pictures come from friends or our personal photos, we either frame or get them printed on canvas. Putting a personalized image on canvas creates instant art.

Hanging art in groups by a similar frame or color is another way to fill up wall space. We often refer this Apartment Therapy tutorial to get it right.

You can even get creative and make your own. Which we often do! The pieces above were created by my daughter. Any one-year old kid can do abstract art. Give them a brush and let their imaginations do the rest, with supervision of course. The second piece was created by the kid using left over paint samples.

The above piece was bought at a local gallery art sale for $50. Fun and full of character! The artwork shown may not reflect your style, but we hope it helps you get creative with your walls. Bonus is you can take it with you to a new home or even sell it to the new buyers.
